Terms of Service - Nyansafo

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Nyansafo mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the App.

                Who We Are: Nyansafo ("The Wise One" in Akan) is an AI-powered educational platform designed to help African students prepare for exams like WAEC, BECE, JAMB, and other national examinations.
            

2. Eligibility

To use Nyansafo, you must:

Be at least 13 years old, or have parental/guardian consent if younger
Have a valid email address for account creation
Provide accurate and complete registration information
Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
All activities that occur under your account
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use

Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

Violate these Terms
Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
Abuse the platform or other users

4. Educational Content

Content Accuracy

While we strive to provide accurate educational content aligned with African curricula (WAEC, BECE, JAMB, etc.), we make no warranties that:

All content is error-free
Content will guarantee exam success
Content matches every specific curriculum version

Content Ownership

All educational content, including questions, explanations, and learning materials, is owned by Nyansafo Education or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

5. AI Tutor Feature

Our AI Tutor is designed to assist learning, but:

It should not replace teachers or professional instruction
AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate
It is programmed to be age-appropriate and educational
Misuse of the AI feature may result in account suspension

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Share your account with others
Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or disrupt the App
Copy or distribute our content without permission
Use the App for any illegal purpose
Harass, bully, or harm other users
Submit false information or impersonate others
Use automated systems to access the App

                Academic Integrity: Nyansafo is designed to help you learn, not to cheat. Using our content or AI tutor during actual exams violates examination rules and may result in serious consequences.
            

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Features

Basic features are available for free with daily limits.

Premium Subscription

Premium features require a paid subscription:

Subscription fees are charged in advance
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled
Refunds are subject to our refund policy and app store policies
Prices may change with notice

8. Gamification Features

XP points, streaks, and leaderboard positions:

Have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash
May be modified or reset to ensure fair play
Are subject to change as we improve the platform

9. Offline Mode

Downloaded content for offline use:

Is for personal educational use only
May not be shared, copied, or distributed
May expire or require re-download periodically

10. Intellectual Property

The Nyansafo name, logo, and all content are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the App for personal educational purposes only.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

Uninterrupted or error-free service
That defects will be corrected
Specific educational outcomes or exam results
Compatibility with all devices

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NYANSAFO EDUCATION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of data or content
Exam failures or educational outcomes
Third-party actions or content

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nyansafo Education from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the App.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be notified through the App or email.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ghana.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
