Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Nyansafo account and all associated data directly from the app.

How to Delete Your Account in the App

1. Open the Nyansafo app on your device
2. Go to Profile tab (bottom navigation)
3. Tap Settings (gear icon)
4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
5. Read the warning carefully
6. Enter your password to confirm
7. Tap Delete My Account to confirm

Your account and all data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Request Account Deletion via Email

If you're unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

1. Send an email to support@nyansafo.com
2. Use the subject line: "Account Deletion Request"
3. Include the following information:
   • Your full name
   • Email address associated with your account
   • Reason for deletion (optional)
4. We will process your request within 7 business days
5. You'll receive a confirmation email once completed

What Gets Deleted?

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

• Personal information (name, email, profile picture)
• Learning progress and study history
• Quiz scores and performance data
• XP points, streaks, and achievements
• Downloaded offline content
• All preferences and settings

Data Retention Period

• Account data: Deleted within 30 days
• Backup data: Purged within 90 days
• Anonymous analytics: May be retained for service improvement (no personal identifiers)

Alternatives to Account Deletion

If you're concerned about privacy but don't want to lose your progress, consider these alternatives:

• Log out: Sign out of your account without deleting it
• Pause notifications: Disable notifications in Settings
• Update email: Change your email address to a different one
• Contact support: Discuss specific privacy concerns with our team
